Therapeutic Horses
Coming home from war has left its marks on countless soldiers. Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is very common to military personnel coming back home. Special therapy is sometimes used to help soldiers through their difficulties. One such a method is being used in Country Sunset Stables in Ontario, Canada. Horses are being used to break down some of the barriers difficult to do with standard therapy.

Tucked into the middle of Nebraska is a city with a population just over 30,000 called Kearney. However, from mid February to mid April every year, the population grows by over 500,000...sandhill cranes.

Fooled by the Prominent Aorta

Radiographs of older cats often reveal horizontal alignment of the cardiac silhouette; i.e. on lateral views, the cardiac silhouette displays increased sternal contact. In these cats, the aorta often appears prominent. Radiologists refer to this appearance as "uncoiling of the aorta", "elongation of the aorta", "redundancy of the aorta", "a tortuous aorta", etc.
